Hey everyone! Today Alli held an "Explorers Got Style" event! We were all told to fill our inventory with a variety of different clothes and arrive at Dew's Farm in uniform for 7:00pm. In the event, Alli called out different themes and we had a few minutes to dress our best to match the theme only from the clothes that we brought in our inventory. The person with the best outfit each theme won 3 points, second best 2 points and third best 1 point. Examples of the themes were: animals, fruit, winter, summer and rainbow. The overall scores were as following: joint 3rd was Clara, Molly and Fey with 9 points, 2nd place went to Bambi with 12 points and 1st place was awarded to myself where I won 15 points! Well done everyone!
Thank you Alli for a fun event! See you next time, - Nik

Hello everyone! Nik here, long time no see! Today we had our first event since the club was remade: "Teamwork Event" hosted by Alli! At 6:30pm, we all met up at Moorland Paddock in uniform. After taking pictures, Alli then split us all into 3 teams: red team, blue team, and green team. Once we had been sorted into our teams, we put on the coloured shirt that matched our team colour. The first game we played was called "Human shapes". In this game, Alli called out different shapes that we had to create in our groups with our horses, making sure no one in our group was left out. Examples of shapes included letters such as L and T and shapes such as a circle and a heart (which were quite difficult to create using our horses!). The team who Alli thought made the best shape, won the round. After this, we played a game of "Persistence". In this game, we all lined up along the side of the paddock in single file with our teams. Alli would then call out any gait such as "trot" and our team had to make sure we all kept doing the same gait that was called out by Alli. If one person in the team messed up by accidentally doing the wrong gait or not changing gait fast enough, the whole team would be out. Well done Blues for winning that game! Finally, we all headed over to Fort Pinta to play our last game "Minefield." We all lined up in our teams, dismounted at the disco, ready to play. The aim of the game was to get across the whole disco floor by moving one step forward, left, right or backwards (one disco square) without going on squares which had mines on them because if you stepped onto a square with a mine, you were out and the person had to go to the end of the line and then the next person in the team had to restart the route to reach the end of the disco floor. Sounds easy, right? However, we didn't know which squares had mines underneath them! Every time a person from each team moved a step, Alli would say if we were all safe and advance a step forward, or call out the names of people who weren't and had to restart. The team successfully managing to get across the whole disco floor were the Reds! Well done. Alli then added up all the points from the whole event and the Red team ended up winning! Well done Reds! Thank you Alli for a great first event and thank you all for coming!
See you next time, - Nik Hi! Yesterday, Lauren Meadowwood hosted a Disney themed, ball event! At 7pm, we were ready at the Silverglade Castle in our royal ball outfits with our white horses ready for the games. The Secret Princess" was the name of our first game. This game was basically like Charades but instead of doing an action, we said a clue. For example, the first person would describe their character and the first one to guess correctly got to be the character next. Our job was to guess the characters based upon the clue given. Examples of this are shown below; "What can I say?" -Moana "I have a green friend."-Tiana "I live somewhere in India with a waterfall in my palace." -Jasmine "I must be home before the clock strikes 12." -Cinderella For our second game, we were split into teams; Cheesesticks, Dream Team and the Disney Newbs were the team names. This game was called, "The Walt Quizney" and as the name suggests, it was a quiz-based game. In our teams, we had 30 seconds to answer the questions that were given to us. Once we had the answer, we would friend chat Laurie with our answer. The team with the most correct would win this game. Below are some examples of the questions;
"In the movie Snow White, who is Snow White's enemy?" A- The Evil Queen B- Malificent C- Cruella De Vil D- Scar The answer was A : The Evil Queen. "Who sang Under the Sea in The Little Mermaid?" A.Dory B. Pascal C. Nemo D. Sebastian The next answer was D: Sebastian. "In Finding Nemo, what is the name of the shark?" A. Bruce B. Shane C. Jason D. Tim For this final answer we had A: Bruce. Team Cheesesticks won this game! "Cinderella, ella, ella, ella, eh, eh" was the name of the final game. In our groups, we had to guess the name of a Disney song based upon a random set of lyrics. The winners of this game were the Disney Newbs! "The seaweed is always greener is somebody else's lake." -Under the Sea, The Little Mermaid "We're off to work, we go." -High Ho, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves To conclude, this event ended with a picnic and us knowing a lot more about Disney. Goodbye for now, - Sushi On Thursday, Ari held a "Spooky Sleepover" event! We all met up at Dew's Farm in Epona for 7pm wearing pyjamas and taking a white and black shirt with us. The first game we played was called "Ghost Stories". Ari first picked random people to tell a short scary story to everyone, and after that we all made a story together by one person starting the story with a beginning sentence and then with the last person ending the story. This carried on until we reached the end of the line. The second game was all about capturing ghosts! Ari picked a few of us to be the ghosts, and we had to then put on our white shirt. We then had around 1 minute to hide in a spot around Dew's Farm, and then the Ghost Hunters were released (they wore black shirts.) Below is my hiding spot: Once everyone was found, we continued to play a few rounds until everyone had the chance to be a ghost.
Thank you Ari for the fun event! See you next time, - Nik Hello! A while ago, Madison Applecrest held "The Best Dressed" event. At 7pm, we headed over to the mall in our club uniform with a clear inventory. The main aim of the event was to dress the best out of all of the contestants. To play, Mads would give us a theme in club chat and we would have 5 minutes to recreate our own outfit with our clothes from the lockers on the upper floor of the mall. Afterwards, we would line up by the stage in our outfits ready to be judged. In turn, we had to walk across the stage and use emotes to show off our outfits to the judges. Each round had a new set of judges that would judge alongside Mads. Some examples of the themes are shown below. The first theme that we had was "Mythical Creatures." This theme came with alot of witches and leprechauns (even a Galloper Steve!). The winner of this round was Kat! Another theme was "Western." This theme proved to show some good outfits. The winner of this round was Gabs! For our final round, we had the "Dressage" theme. Many fancy dressage riders appeared in this one. The winner of this final round was Alex!
This event proved that we have some creative and crazy outfit ideas. Goodbye for now, - Sushi Hello! Today, Moon Explorers had one of its fortnightly Open Events for the Waiting List. To join the Waiting List, take a look at the "Join" pages! The members of the Waiting List joined us at Dew's Paddock at 6:15pm ready for the event. Once there, we were split into our groups so that we could go to our locations for the games. The first game was called "Traffic Lights". For this game, you had to line up in a single file line, awaiting instructions. When a certain colour was mentioned, you had to do a certain action within a couple of seconds of the command being sent. The last person to complete the action was out. To start, we all started on an AMBER (Trot). RED was halt (not a sliding stop) and GREEN was canter. For the second game, we played "Bulldog". To play this game, we needed one Bulldog to stand in the middle of the arena whilst we stood at the other end. When "Go!" was shouted, we had to gallop across to the other side of the arena without getting caught. If you got caught, you were out and had to help the Bulldog catch others. To catch someone, you had to point at them with the "/point" emote. The winner was the last one standing at the end of the game. We had to stand in a circle for the last game. This proved challenging as circles are usually hard for all of us. We successfully created a circle ready for "2 Truths and 1 Lie". One person would tell the group two truths about themselves and one lie. The group's job was to guess which statement was false. After the answer had been given, it would be the next person in the circle's go. For example: "1. I like pineapple on pizza." "2. I ride horses irl." "3. I have brown hair." In this example, number 1 was the lie. After the games, all of the groups hacked towards the Silverglade Castle to meet up. Once there, we took a large picture and searched for a picnic. We found a picnic on Nilmer's Highland and settled down. Whilst we were chatting, the members voted on who they wanted to join the club today. Three people joined the club today and those people were; Athena Cloudstar, Emma Cloudhope and Emma Ravenbeach! We would like to give a massive welcome to those three and a big thank you to all who attended the event!
Goodbye for now, - Sushi Hello all! A while ago, Georgia Winterrider held a Movie Night Event. At 7pm, we all gathered at Steve's Farm in clothing based upon film characters (E.g. Donkey from Shrek and Tom Holland from How I Live Now). Once there, we split ourselves into groups of three or pairs so that we were ready. The main aim of the event was to guess the movie titles from the scene/theme given. For example, in club chat, Geo would say a summary of the film and give three possible answers (A,B and C). We needed to work out what the film was and give our answers into Geo through friend chat. Then, Geo would give us a location to go to based on a scene from that film. We were not allowed to use trailers which upped the difficulty of being the first ones to the scene. Below are some examples of the questions. "A large "home" (as some people called it) where a group of friends discover magic." together. A: Once Upon A Time B: Harry Potter C: Divergent The answer for this question was, "B: Harry Potter". This meant that we had to head over towards Scarecrow Hill. "A small family, not being able to see, rowing their way to safety." A: Bird Box B: The Impossible C: The Hunger Games "A: Bird Box" was the correct answer. The small river that borders the Riding Arena and Forgotten Fields was our next location. "A boy who loves science, discovers something when he gets bitten by an insect." A: Spiderman: Homecoming B: Iron Man 2 C: Black Panther The answer for this question was "A: Spiderman: Homecoming". For this question, we needed to go to Governor's Fall. The final location of the event was at the small waterfall in Valedale. To conclude, this event was unique and well thought out. Goodbye for now,
- Sushi Hey guys! Yesterday, Jate held an "Equestrian Event". We all arrived at the Silverglade Manor Library wearing realistic equestrian outfits on Morgans for 7:00pm. We started off the event by heading to Pauline by the racetracks where Jate split us into teams. In our teams, we did one of the Silverglade Races. The people who came first in each group were Kit, Lau, Issy and Auto. All 4 of them then got into a group with each other and did the race again for the final winner which was Lau! We then all headed to the Riding Hall for the next game, "Traffic Lights". Each colour of the traffic light (red, amber and green) represented an action, and if Jate called out any colour of the traffic light we had to perform the action for that colour.
Red = Stop Amber = Trot Green = Whoever the last person is in line has to run to the front, and if you take more than 5 seconds to do so, you are out. We played a few rounds of this game and then went outside the arena to play a classic game of CMC. Thank you Jate for a fun equestrian event! See you next time, - Nik Hello! On Tuesday, Hazel Birchwild held "A Night At The Races" event. At 6:30pm, we all gathered at the Baroness' Racetrack in full racing gear with a Level 15 horse. The twist to this event was the fact that not everyone had to race but instead got to bet. How this event worked was that 4 people would race at one time. Before they raced, the spectators would bet on who they wanted to win by putting their racer's number in club chat. Whilst their racer was running, you would chant and yell for your racer. Points were awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th placings. 1st place received 4 points, 2nd received 3 points, 3rd received two points and 4th received one.
Race 1 The members for this race were numbered as shown below. Racer 1: Issy Racer 2: Alli Racer 3: Jate Racer 4: Map The results of this race are shown below. 1st: Jate 2nd: Map 3rd: Alli 4th: Issy Race 2 The members that were competing in this race were: Racer 1: Kit Racer 2: Laurie Racer 3: Alex Racer 4: Soap Finally, the results of this race are shown below. 1st: Soap 2nd: Laurie 3rd: Alex 4th: Kit To conclude, this event was fun because of the team spirit involved! Goodbye for now, - Sushi Last Saturday, the club hosted yet another Open Event for the Waiting List to attend. We all met up at Dew's Farm paddock as usual, and then everyone was split into groups. The first group game that was played was called "Horse Knowledge". This game was based off everyones knowledge of SSO horse breeds. We all lined up and the group helper read out multiple questions that we had to shout out the answer to. The first person to shout out the correct answer received a point. If someone was riding the horse breed the question was based on, that person got to answer the question first before anyone else guesses. Here are some example questions from the game: "How many different coat colours are there of the Lusitano?" "How many star coins does the Clydesdale cost?" "What level do you need to be before you can buy an Arabian?" "How many breed bonus strength points does the Lipizanner have?" For the second game, the group helper split everyone into groups of 5 and had them race against each other. For the group at Jorvik Stables was the "Jorvik Stables Competition" race, New Hillcrest the "New Hillcrest Cross Country Track" and Crescent Moon Village the "Crescent Moon Village" race. The winner of each group then went against each other in one group and the person who came first was the overall winner. The last game was called "Musical Horses Except There's No Music". The group helper made everyone space out their horses in a big circle then dismount. However, one person had to hide their horse somewhere out of the circle. Everyone had to run around the group helper in the middle until they shouted "STOP" and at the point they had to quickly run to any horse except their own and crouch underneath it. The person left standing with no horse to hide under was out of the game and had to stand on the sidelines and watch. The last person standing was the winner! After these 3 games, everyone made their way to Dew's Farm in Epona for 7:20pm. After many discussions between the Club Owner, Leader and Riding Instructors, it was decided that Ivy Eastcloud was joining the club! Thank you to all the Waiting List that came to the Open Event, we hope to see you in two weeks time for our next one! See you next time,
