Yesterday, Manu held a "Simple Games" event. At 7:00, we all met up at the newly updated Steve's Farm in our uni riding Morgans. First we all headed to Everwind Fields to play our first game, Never Have I Ever. For those who don't know how this game works, Manu would say a statement beginning with "Never have I ever" and then if we've done it before we would dismount and run to Manu in the middle of the circle. If we haven't done it, we would stay mounted. Here are some examples Manu called out: "Never have I ever sold a horse." "Never have I ever been clubless for more than 3 months." "Never have I ever watched a TV series more than 2 times." "Never have I ever sung a song without knowing the lyrics to it." We then played our next game, Duck Duck Goose, which I'm pretty sure everyone knows how to play. The final game was "Manu Says". We all stood in a line and waited for Manu to call out things that we had to do. If she told us to do something without beginning with "Manu says.." and we did it, we were out! We played a few rounds of this and then Manu added up the points of all three games to announce the winners.
Well done to Liz & Ham for winning and thank you to Manu for a fun, chilled event! See you next time, - Nik

Hi everyone! Today, Manuela Shyforce hosted an event called "Guess The Song With Fashion". Everyone met up at Jorvik City Mall by the stage, dressed in our uniform for 7:00pm. There were two main activities in the event, the first was the club members guessing the song and artist from one line of the lyrics, with a total of twelve different songs. The first person to shout out the name of the song and the artist in the club chat would receive one point. Some lyrics were: "It's gonna be a good, good life, that's what my therapist say.." - I'm A Mess by Bebe Rexha. "Not a yes sir, not a follower.." - Thunder by Imagine Dragons "But I'll make it, I'll make it, I'll make it shower" - Power by Little Mix In the second activity, Forcey would sat a part of a song, from there the club members had to dress up in any outfit which fit the song perfectly and then do a catwalk on the stage. Whoever got first place would earn 3 points, second would earn 2 points, and third would earn 1 point. We had a total of five minutes to quickly come up with our outfits and line up to get ready for the runway.
The lyrics and results were: "You are the sun and I am just the planets, spinning around you, spinning around you.." First place went to Abs, second place went to Soap and Kat, and third place went to me. "Last Christmas, I gave you my heart.." First place went to Ham and Soap, second place went to Loz, and third place went to Geo and Kat. "Out here drippin' in finesse, you know it, you know it.." First place went to Kat, second place went to me, Soap and Abs, and third place went to Nemo and Tuba. The final results were based around the entire event, in first place was Soap with 11 points, second place was myself with 7 points, and third place was Kat with 6 points! A huge thank you to Forcey for hosting this fun event, I'm sure everyone else enjoyed it like I did! - Liz Hey everyone! On Friday, Katelyn Springlake hosted an event that wasn’t actually on SSO, but instead on a website called “Gartic.io”. It is a game where somebody has to draw something and everyone has to guess what the drawing is. You earned points after every correct guess, and the person with 100 first wins! We were using it for the whole event, so we didn’t need to log online for it and instead we joined the room whilst waiting for the event to start. Once it was 7 pm, Jate started the event. Our first category was animals, and it sounds very basic but it was actually really difficult with many animals nobody had even heard of. Some included a giant otter (and yes the giant had to be included) and an electric eel. Dotty managed to get 100 first therefore she won that round, so big congrats to her.
The second round was different verbs which also turned out to be difficult as it can be hard to express actions into pictures. Some of them involved vomit, read, kiss and pay, and just using a mouse made it difficult to draw some of them! In the end, Liz managed to earn 100 points and won this round, so well done to her! Then, the final round turned out to be themed on different objects. Some of the objects they gave out were nearly impossible to draw or unknown. Some of these were shuttlecocks, french horns and a firearm (which I personally had no idea what it was). Once we finished this round it had been an hour meaning it was the end of the event. Thank you Jate for hosting this event, it was a really enjoyable game! - Ham Hello everyone! Today Elizabeth Ponyson hosted the final event of the Halloween Theme Week. We met at Goldenleaf stables to begin this event with everyone in their normal team outfits with the Riding Instructors dressed up as zombies. When everyone had arrived, Liz explained what it would be about. For the whole event everyone was racing to different locations whilst being chased by the zombies, which were all the RIs. If a zombie pointed at one of the racers then the racer would have to halt and stay like that until the end of the race. Ham and Urs started behind the racers and Cait, Alli and Nik were seperated in the middle trying to stop racers from there. The first few races were quite short, with the first one being from Goldenleaf stables to the entrance of Golden Hills, then the enterance to the club hall. However, the races started to get longer near the end, with the third race being from Steves to to Dews farm in Epona, then the final race from Dews farm to Dundull, with only Abs making it without being caught, so well done to her.
Thank you to Liz for hosting the event! - Ham |
